Mr. Fun’s Costumes & Curiosities Announces Exciting New Adventure: Taking the Show on the Road with Seasonal Pop-Ups

Final Halloween & Christmas seasons on Front Street

(Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio – October 1, 2025) – After close to 60 years of sparking smiles and helping customers unleash their inner characters, Mr. Fun’s Costumes & Curiosities is taking its next big leap — transitioning from its beloved brick-and-mortar shop into a series of seasonal pop-ups and community events.

“This isn’t a final curtain call — it’s just an exciting costume change!” said Meralie Pocock, co-owner of Mr. Funs. “We’ve had an absolute blast bringing imagination to life in our storefront, but now we’re ready to bring the fun directly to festivals, markets, and pop-up events all year long.  Our store has been a special part of our journey, but as our community’s needs have evolved, we’re embracing a more flexible, fun, and creative way to share what we do best, and keep growing in new, inspiring directions.” 

Mr. Fun’s will celebrate its final Halloween and Christmas seasons on Front Street.  The final day to visit the Mr. Funs storefront, at 2104 Front Street, will be December 31, 2025, and customers are invited to stop by, share a laugh, and snag their favorite treasures before the next act begins.  Everything will be sold including rental costumes, décor, and fixtures.  Starting in 2026, Mr. Funs will pop up at festivals, faires, and events — each one filled with the quirky costumes, curiosities, and surprises that have made the shop a community favorite.

About Mr. Fun’s Costumes and Curiosities:
Mr. Fun’s began in Cuyahoga Falls in 1968, founded by the original Mr. & Mrs. Fun, Al and Carol Pocock.  It has continued to be owned and operated by family members and has called several Cuyahoga Falls locations home, including Wyoga Lake Rd, and previous Skate 8 Rollerdome location on State Rd, before returning to Front Street in 2022.  Known for its fun and quirky atmosphere and offerings, Mr. Fun’s has been creating fun in northeast Ohio for decades.  This tradition will be continued online, at seasonal pop-ups, and events into the future.  “This isn’t goodbye — it’s a fresh take on how we connect with our community.  This move gives us the freedom to be even more creative and spontaneous, and we can show up in new places, meet new faces, and keep doing what we love — spreading fun wherever we go!”
